Join city staff for a public open house to learn more about the reconstruction planned for Wilson Street, between Macdonell and Northumberland streets, that starts this spring.

Tuesday, Apr. 4, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 112, Guelph City Hall

The open house is your opportunity to:

  • view project maps and schedules;
  • ask questions about the construction impacts including property access, road closures, on-street parking, and landscaping; and
  • provide feedback to City staff and the project consultants.

Phase two of the reconstruction on Wilson Street will include the replacement of the underground sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water pipes, gutters, sidewalks, paver bricks, and street lights along with overall landscaping and repaving.

The construction is expected to start in May and be complete by August, weather permitting.

About the project

The Wilson Street reconstruction and parkade project includes:

  1. The construction of the Wilson Street parkade at the southwest corner of Wilson Street and Carden Street;
  2. The reconstruction of Wilson Street from Gordon/Norfolk Street to Macdonell Street including the creation of a pedestrian island on Macdonell Street across from Wilson Street; and
  3. The replacement of the Norfolk Street pedestrian bridge.
