This March, the Guelph Public Library encourages you to travel beyond Stratford Festival’s theatrical stage to listen and enjoy four thought-provoking lectures at the Main Library based on this season’s plays.

Library CEO Steven Kraft shares, “These lectures are a fantastic opportunity for our customers to explore the works being staged at the Stratford Festival this season. Connect great literature to plays and drama – all of which are available in the library’s collection.”

The library is excited to offer this free lecture series in partnership with Stratford Festival for the seventh year. Everyone is invited to join us on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Main Library (100 Norfolk Street) for the following lectures:

  • Mar. 8, 2018 for ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ with Dr. Jade Ferguson, Associate Professor, University of Guelph School of English and Theatre Studies
  • Mar. 15, 2018 for ‘Long Day’s Journey into Night’ with Dr. Mark Fortier, Professor, University of Guelph School of English and Theatre Studies
  • Mar. 22, 2018 for ‘The Tempest’ with Liza Giffen, Stratford Festival Director of Archives
  • Mar. 29, 2018 for ‘The Music Man’ with Lois Kivesto, Researcher and Dramaturgical Consultant
