Local food fest celebrates all things local this weekend

You can come away from the Ignatius Jesuit Centre with a full belly and some helpful information Sunday at the 12th annual Taste Real Guelph Wellington Local Food Fest.

Fresh food, food demonstrations, kombutcha making, pork butchery, cheese and butter making, backyard chickens, dicer making and wild foraging will all be part of the free workshops being offered at the event.

There will also be craft beer on hand, kids activities, wagon rides, live music and tours.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Downtown Guelph Business Association and Red Car Service are providing free shuttle service from Downtown Guelph and the Shelldale Centre.

Admission is a minimum donation of $5 per person or $10 per family.
