About the project
The City is working with J. G. Goetz Construction to:
-
Remove asphalt
-
Install water and sewer pipes
-
Repave the road.
All work will take place on City property.
Construction begins June 13
Wyndham Street North will be closed between Macdonell Street and Cork Street East on or about June 13 for about two weeks, weather permitting. Local access will be maintained between 19 Wyndham Street North and Woolwich Street. The designated detour route is via Macdonell Street and Woolwich Street.
Property access
Construction will occur during working hours (7 a.m.-7 p.m.) and is not expected to impact access to private property.
Pedestrian access
The sidewalk on the east side of Wyndham Street North will be closed to allow for the installation of sewer and water pipes. Pedestrians may be required to cross the road at the nearest crossing to access properties. Please follow the direction of signs. The sidewalk on the west side of the road will remain accessible throughout the construction project.
Guelph Transit
Guelph Transit routes 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 20 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.
City services
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Project details and any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
