CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP – On May 12, 2016 at approximately 2:20 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a motor vehicle collision involving a sport utility vehicle and a farm tractor on Wellington County Road 29 between Wellington Road 22 and Side Road 30, Centre Wellington Township.
Both vehicles were southbound when the collision occurred. Two male drivers were taken to a local hospital and one has since been transported to a Hamilton hospital by air ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Their names will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS), Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Department and Wellington County Roads Department attended the scene.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the Wellington County OPP. Wellington County Road 29 will be closed for approximately an hour between Wellington Road 22 and Side Road 30.
