Man arrested with bad case of the shingles

A Guelph male faces several charges after he was found Thursday morning pushing a shopping cart loaded with allegedly stolen roofing supplies.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday police were dispatched to a suspicious person call in the area of Edinburgh Road North and Foster Avenue. A male was located pushing a shopping cart containing two large rolls of shingles later determined to be stolen.

Officers discovered the male was also wanted on two outstanding warrants.

A 35-year-old Guelph male is charged with two counts of possessing stolen property, failing to attend court and failing to comply with the provincial Sex Offender Registry. He will appear in a Guelph court August 17.
