The first degree murder trial of Christopher McDonald will not be held in Guelph.

It is scheduled to begin on May 7.

The new location is subject to a publication ban imposed by the court.

In 2012 McDonald was found guilty of first degree murder in the 2008 death in Guelph of Corrine Burns. That verdict was overturned on appeal in 2017 and a retrial ordered.
