Guelph’s first-ever Bump and Babe Show is due to arrive this Saturday, Sept. 8 at Centennial Arena.

Featuring over 30 vendors selling a variety of handmade and trending items, The Bump and Babe Show is designed for expecting parents and parents of little ones.

Guelph-based Kayla McQueen, owner of KM Events, is organizing the expo.

“The event is designed for moms-to-be, current moms, or just women in general who like trending products,” said McQueen.

McQueen shared that there will be many different types of vendors selling products. Some of the participating businesses include Lynn’s Aprons and Crafts, Sweet Legs with Sandra, Bliss Aromatherapy Accessories, Jak Lee Baby, and Tiber River Naturals.

She also said that the show will feature a special guest appearance by the recently-crowned Miss Petite Western Ontario, Kelsey-Rose MacDonald. Born and raised in Palmerston, Ont., MacDonald, 27,  is the first winner with autism of Miss Petite Western Ontario. The pageant winner has been travelling around Western Ontario sharing her inspiring story, as well as awareness about autism.

Admission to the show is by a suggested donation of $2, which will be donated to Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

McQueen, who plans events from weddings, birthday parties, to corporate fundraisers, is a new mom herself. She saw a need for a parent-based event, and decided to run the event to serve parents in the area.

The Bump and Babe Show is on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 376 College Ave. W.
