The downtown area could be getting a new medical clinic.
A numbered company has applied to the City of Guelph's committee of adjustment for a minor bylaw variance to allow the business to set up at 54 Cardigan St., just north of Downtown Guelph.
The 525-square-metre building is located just south and on the opposite side of the road from the Guelph Youth Music Centre.
The current bylaw "permits wicker and garden centre/offices as the only permitted uses on the subject property," says a staff report.
"The applicant is seeking relief from the By-law requirements to permit a medical clinic as an additional permitted use on the subject property."
The application goes before the June 28 meeting of the city's committee of adjustment.
