GUELPH-ERAMSOA TOWNSHIP – On February 23, 2016 at approximately 12:14 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 1998 Saturn on Highway 6 near Cross Creek Boulevard in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
While speaking with the driver, police detected the odour of marihuana and observed marihuana inside the vehicle.
He was placed under arrest and subsequently searched.
A bag containing bud marihuana was located inside the vehicle and seized by the officers.
31-year-old Chase Middleton has been charged with possession of marihuana under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 7, 2016.
