One airlifted after serious crash

MINTO – On April 27, 2016 at approximately 10:50 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious collision involving two vehicles on Wellington County Road 2 just east of Creek Road, Town of Minto.

A west bound vehicle had two female occupants and the east bound vehicle was driven by a male.  All involved were taken to a local hospital. 

The female driver suffered serious injuries has been airlifted to a Hamilton hospital.  Their names will not be released until next of kin have been notified.

Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS), Town of Minto Fire Department and the Town of Minto Roads Department attended the scene.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by Technical Collision Investigators from Wellington County OPP and OPP Highway Safety Division.  Wellington County Road 2 remains closed between Creek Road and the 6th Line.
