WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On August 28, 2021 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police, Wellington County Detachment, responded along with Guelph-Eramosa Fire and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 124 and Wellington Road 29 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound motor vehicle collided with an eastbound motor vehicle at that location. The driver of the eastbound motor vehicle, Shirley Eileen WHITE, 70-years-old of Erin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger of the eastbound vehicle as well as the driver and passenger of the southbound motor vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Wellington County OPP and West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME) continue to investigate the collision.
