GUELPH POLICE SERVICE

*************************

The Guelph Police along with Guelph Fire Department attended to numerous reports of fire in several different locations on the evening of July 1, 2020. The Guelph Police are fully supportive of Canada Day celebrations with fireworks, however the safety of our residents and their property is paramount. Fireworks were responsible for numerous small fires that could have been far more serious in nature. No one was injured in any of the fires.

Guelph Police would like to remind residents that fireworks are an explosive/flammable device that can cause injury to persons and damage to property. Careful, safe and responsible use are the key to a great celebration for our country.
