PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP - On September 2, 2016 at approximately 11:11 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2007 Honda that was parked on Maclean Road in Puslinch Township.

As officers approached the vehicle, a strong odour of fresh marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle.

The lone occupant was placed under arrest and when asked about the drugs, he surrendered a bag that contained a green leafy substance that was believed to be marijuana.

25-year-old Fady Ibrahim of Cambridge has been charged with possession of marijuana under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He will appear in Guelph Criminal Court in September to answer to the charge.
