On Sept. 5, 2016 at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Guelph Police investigated the report of a suspicious older male with a young child in Peter Misersky Park.
The investigation led to the arrest of the man. The man and child are known to each other.
The Guelph Police are advising that there is not a concern for the safety of the public in this area as this was a targeted incident.
A 59-year-old Guelph male has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching. He is in custody and will appear in court on September 9, 2016.
