Police looking for driver who hit pedestrian

Traffic unit investigating pedestrian/car collision

On August 8, 2016 Guelph Police were notified of a pedestrian-involved motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Saturday August 6, 2016 at the intersection of Metcalfe Street and Eramosa Road.  

At approximately 3:15 p.m. the pedestrian was crossing Metcalfe on a walk signal within the defined crosswalk. 

A southbound motorist made a left turn and struck the pedestrian within the crosswalk. The pedestrian was slightly injured but walked off the road on her own. The motorist failed to stop and continued along Metcalfe Street.

The vehicle is described as a gold or light beige smaller vehicle and the driver is described as a white, elderly female wearing glasses.
