Police respond to report of man locked in women's washroom

There is alleged to have been a small quantity of crystal meth in there too

On July 3, 2016 at 12:53 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Via Rail Station on Carden Street for the report that a man had locked himself inside the women’s washroom.

Bylaw was on scene when police arrived and advised that it was a male and female inside. Police gained access and during the course of the investigation, a small quantity of crystal meth was located on the man and he was arrested.

A 37-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 4, 2016.
