Scrap metal theft – two arrested
On August 9, 2016 at 4:57 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a business on Elizabeth Street for the report that two males had taken items from a bin then left on e-bikes.
Police quickly located the males on York Road. One of the e-bikes had an attached wagon containing items that included scrap metal. Investigation determined that the scrap metal had been stolen from the bin at the business.
Both males were arrested.
Francisco Ferraz, 41 years of Guelph, has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.

They will both appear in court on September 20, 2016.
