Police say driver pulled scissors in road rage incident

On February 8, 2016 the Guelph Police investigated a reported road rage incident.

It is alleged that at 11:20 a.m., the occupants of two vehicles on Paisley Road became involved in a verbal altercation.

The vehicles continued onto the Hanlon Expressway and exited onto Willow Road when an object was thrown from one car at the other.

Both vehicles pulled over, another verbal exchange took place when one male opened the passenger side door of the victim’s car and brandished scissors.

The victim immediately left the area but was able to flag down a passing police car.

Police spoke with all involved parties and arrested the male with the scissors.

An 18-year-old Guelph male has been charged with weapons dangerous and breach of YCJA probation.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 9, 2016.
