Police seize drugs, drug paraphernalia, stolen property during bust in Elora

A 29-year-old faces multiple charges as a result

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON – On May 19, 2021, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence located in Elora, Ont.  

Upon entering the residence, officers seized a quantity of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.  

As a result of the investigation, Mitchell Johnathon Horne, 29-years-old of Elora has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance - cocaine; and
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.

 The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on June 22, 2021 to answer to the charges.
