Public Art in a Spring Rain (14 Photos)

A natural hosing down

Spring rain is a necessary thing, what with all the seeds, roots, blossoms and stems thirsty for a good drink and ready to emerge.

But cleansing rain is also very good for public art, a kind of natural hosing down of accumulated dust and other airborne debris.

The public art at The Arboretum at the University of Guelph, in the sculpture park at the Art Gallery of Guelph, and in the downtown, had a nice sheen to it Friday morning, as a cold March 31 spring rain fell.

This gallery was shot over a 30 minute period across three locations.
