Red Nissan strikes post, driver arrested

On August 14 police went to Clairfields Drive East for a collision.

On August 14, 2016 at 12:25 a.m., the Guelph Police went to Clairfields Drive East for a collision.

It is alleged that a red Nissan was southbound on Farley Drive from Clairfields Drive East when it left the roadway striking a utility light standard.

The driver of the motor vehicle was located at the scene. Police spoke with him, determined he was impaired by alcohol and he was arrested.

Matthew Jupp, 37 years old, of Guelph, has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on August 30, 2016.
