"The Walk for Arthritis helps fund cutting-edge research, advocacy and improved support for those living with and affected by the disease. People of all ages, from children to the elderly, suffer from it; arthritis is a life-limiting chronic disease that more than six million Canadians have," says a news release.
The Arthritis Society has contributed $200 million to research projects that have led to breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment and care of those with arthritis. The Walk is now their signature nationwide fundraiser, an event that will help fund these important breakthroughs.
