NEWS RELEASE

GUELPH POLICE SERVICE

*************************
Guelph Police Service dog Nitro is remembered as being one of the most successful dogs in Guelph Police history.

He also worked longer than any other Guelph Police dog. Nitro and his handler Cst. Neil Moulton worked for eight plus years.

Nitro, at the age of 10, had to be humanely euthanized due to a serious medical condition on July 23, 2015.

In September 2015, Nitro was honoured by Royal Canin Canada as they inducted him into their newly established Hall of Heroes.

We remember Nitro as his years of service had a positive impact on the Guelph Police as well as the City of Guelph.
