Scarborough teen accused of Guelph gunpoint robberies

On Oct. 27, 2016 the Guelph Police investigated two gunpoint robberies. The first occurred at 12:06 a.m., two males entered the Gas Bar on Imperial Road South and robbed the store clerk of cash and cigarettes at gunpoint.

Then at 12:09 a.m., two suspects entered the convenience store on Paisley Road North and robbed the lone clerk of cash and cigarettes at gun point. The locations are directly across the street from one another and the robberies are believed to be related.

On Dec. 7, 2016 a 17-year-old Scarborough resident was arrested and charged with the following offences;

  • Robbery with a firearm 
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Point Firearm
  • Uttering threats to cause death
  • Fail to comply with a sentence or disposition – two counts
  • Fail to comply with recognizance

This young person is being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
