The Upper Grand District School Board wants help naming a new school set to open in East Guelph.

The board is asking for community input into naming the school that is set to open on Couling Crescent in September.

The board has policy regarding new names of schools so any suggestions to be considered would have to fit in the following criteria:

- The street name on which the school is located

- The community the school serves

- A local area or the geography/topography of the school area

- A significant individual or event (that has had a notable impact on education or the quality of life throughout or beyond Dufferin and Wellington Counties)

Submissions that do not adhere to these naming guidelines will not be considered. The deadline for submissions is May 13, 2016.

To submit a suggestion you can go to www.ugdsb.on.ca/name and fill out the feedback form provided or drop off your submission in person to either Couling Crescent Holding School at Tytler or King George public schools.
