GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP – On March 3, 2016 at approximately 8:15 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) vehicle was parked and unoccupied at a road closure on Jones Baseline and Stone Road East, Guelph-Eramosa Township. 

A school bus with students on board was attempting to turn the bus around due to the road closure and struck the side of the police vehicle causing damage. 

No one was injured in this collision.

68-year-old W. Dwight Cowan of Guelph has been charged with Turn-Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
