Kristel Manes is the recipient of the economic development award at the Community Builders Awards 2022.

Last year, GuelphToday hosted its first annual Community Builders Awards, a program which honours outstanding individuals who contribute positively to our city.

We are thrilled to be opening up nominations again for the second annual Community Builders Awards.

As steadfast champions of local, we strive to support and uplift our community and that most certainly includes the innovative, resilient and inspiring people who make Guelph so special.

The Community Builders Awards do just that.

Awards of Excellence will honour individuals and organizations in Arts, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Hall of Fame, Health Care, Legacy, Sports and Recreation and Young Leader categories.

A full description of each category can be found here.

All Guelph and area residents, businesses and organizations are eligible for nomination.

We will celebrate virtually - recognizing each of the winners with a story and a video that honours their accomplishments.

Nominations are open now until April 14. You can nominate someone for the Community Builders Awards here.

A team of local judges will review the submissions once nominations close. We plan to start announcing the winners on June 19.

We look forward to reading about the remarkable community members who have helped build Guelph into the community we call home.
