A section of the Macdonell Street rail bridge was replaced this past weekend – the first of six planned efforts.

A section of the Macdonell Street rail bridge was replaced this past weekend – the first of six planned efforts.

As a result, Macdonell was closed to through traffic from Wellington Street East to Elizabeth Street and Arthur Street, where the three roads connect. Efforts began Friday and continue Sunday.

Additional work on the bridge and related road closures are slated for the weekends of Sept. 17-19 and 24-26, as well as Oct. 1-3, 22-24 and 29-31.
