TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - The driver of the Jetta was transported by Guelph-Wellington EMS to a local hospital and has since been transferred to a Hamilton Hospital where he is in critical condition.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI).

The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.

WELLINGTON NORTH - On June 15, 2017 approximately 3:45 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Wellington North Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision on County 109, west of Arthur, Township of Wellington North.

Initial investigation indicates that a westbound red Ford pickup truck was stopped for a school bus when it was struck from behind by a Volkswagon Jetta. The driver of the car was trapped with serious injuries and was transported by Guelph-Wellington EMS to a local hospital.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI). Highway 109 is closed between Sideroad 12 and Sideroad 15 and will remain closed for several hours.

The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.
