Shop with a Cop program benefits food bank

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - Thanks to a generous donation from the Arthur branch of the TD Bank, Kenilworth students and Wellington County OPP were able to stock the food banks shelves.

On Nov. 23, 2017 Wellington County OPP, and Kenilworth grade five and grade six students participated in the "Shop with a Cop" program. The program allows OPP to engage local youth in a positive environment.

Teaming OPP and students, 10 groups were challenged to fill a grocery cart with $100 worth of non-perishables which were then donated to the food bank.

OPP members were pleased to assist the students of the Kenilworth Public School, The Arthur TD Bank, The Arthur Food Bank, and all those who find themselves in need.
