Special weather statement in effect for:
    •    Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
    •    Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo

Significant rainfall on the way beginning later today.

A warm front associated with a low pressure area will move through the region tonight, bringing a significant amount of rain with it.

Latest indication suggest 10 to 20 mm of rain may fall by Tuesday morning. This is below Environment Canada's criterion for rainfall warning when the ground is frozen.

However, this rainfall along with rapidly melting snow due to very mild temperatures may be enough to result in ponding of water in poorly drained areas.

Occasional rain along with very mild temperatures more typical of April is expected on Tuesday.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
