Six tickets issued for school zone speeders

On February 4, 2016 from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted speed enforcement in the area of Victoria Road North in the area of St. John and St. James Catholic Schools.

Police issued six tickets for speeding during this time. 

Police would like to remind everyone of the reduced speed zones around all schools in the city.

The speed limits include 40 km/h signage on arterial roads, which are in effect on school days from 8-9 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.

In addition, 30 km/h signage on collector and local roads in effect at all times. 

Guelph Police will continue to do random speed enforcement at the various school zones in Guelph.
