WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON. - Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a 2015 grey Ford F150 pickup truck that was parked in a rear parking lot behind a business on George Street, Arthur. 

It was stolen on May 28 at approximately 12:15 p.m. The owner left the keys with the vehicle and went in to the business for a moment. He returned to discover that his truck was stolen.

The truck was found on May 30 at approximately 9 p.m. at the end of Wells Street East, Arthur with no damage.

Police are reminding vehicle owners that thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity. The key to protecting your vehicle is in your hands. Keep yourself from becoming an easy target by simply securing your vehicle – Lock it or Lose it.

  • Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the doors
  • Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running
  • If you have a garage, use it and lock the door as well as your vehicle
  • Never leave your car keys in plain view or in an easily accessible area
  • Always park your vehicle in a well-lit area
  • Never leave valuable objects or packages in full view. Put them in the trunk
