On July 2, 2016 at 11:35 p.m., Guelph Police were notified by Wellington County O.P.P. that officers had attempted to pull over a vehicle that had been confirmed stolen and that vehicle had fled. 

The stolen vehicle, a black Toyota Prius, was reportedly heading into the city. Guelph Police officers were able to find the vehicle in the south end and further discovered the male had fled minutes before police arrived. 

The only description police had was that the responsible party is a male wearing all black, with a dark backpack. An exhaustive search was conducted in the area with no result.
