On Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at 1:42 a.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 36 Sullivan Cres.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke coming from the garage.

The fire appeared to be extinguished prior to our arrival but large amounts of smoke filtered through the house. Fire crews ventilated the house using positive pressure fans while checking for fire extension in the garage.

Two of the residents were treated for smoke inhalation. All of the occupants from the residence were evacuated prior to our arrival.

The cause of the fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation.

The Guelph Fire Department would like to thank Guelph Police Services, Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and Alectra Utilities for their assistance.
