Taken to trauma centre with serious but non life-threatening injuries

A 16-year-old is in serious condition after being shot Saturday night at a Guelph motel.

Guelph Police said they responded to the report of a gun shot at the Super 8 Motel at 281 Woodlawn Rd. W. at 10 p.m.

A 16-year-old female from Toronto was taken to a trauma centre to be treated for serious but not life threatening injuries, police said.

They believe it was a targeted shooting and the matter is still under investigation. No arrest has been made.

Police are asking anyone in the area at that time to contact them.
