Organizers of the annual Terry Fox Run will be looking to better the $37,146 raised at last year’s event on Sunday.
The run goes from 8 a.m. to noon at Royal City Park, with registration located in the park on the southeast corner of Edinburgh Road and Wellington Street. Last year’s event saw 447 people take part in the event.
Last year Guelph also raised almost $76,000 through initiatives at local schools, bringing Guelph’s total for 2016 to $112,983.
This will be the 36th year of the Terry Fox run in Guelph, with total fundraising of $908,000.
