Things just got juicier in Downtown Guelph (6 photos)

Trish Juice Bar, which plans to open Friday on Carden Street, uses fresh local ingredients that are affordable

Juice bar Trish Juice is opening its fifth location of Ontario in Guelph and hopes to provide the city with fresh, natural local ingredients.

The juice bar includes freshly squeezed juice, smoothies, milkshakes, bubble tea, salads, wraps, soups and toast all free of preservative or additives.

The juice bar is located on 62 Carden St. and hopes to officially open its doors on Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 a.m.

Founder Rohit Kumar’s decision to choose Guelph as their next location was because of the high number of students in the area.

“Students need healthy places,” said Kumar.

The first Trish Juice bar was built in Oakville in the summer of 2017 when Kumar discovered an opportunity for an affordable yet healthy cafe where the food items are created fast like they would at a fast food restaurant.

The first location opened on Mother's day and Kumar named the business after his mom, Trish as a token of love.

Since then, the concept took off and the business has established two locations in Mississauga, one in Oakville, one in Brampton and now one in Guelph in less than two years.

Owner of the five locations Tamana Sharma accredits the success to her team and the affordable prices of the items on the menu.

“Customers can eat out everyday but its healthy,” said Sharma.

The bar puts an emphasis on looking natural by using wooden decor and displaying the fruits and vegetables for juicing which gets stocked every other day.

“We want them to feel cozy and comfortable. All our environments have positivity vibrant colours,” said Sharma.
