Guelph gained quite the reputation last summer after a rash of indecent acts were reported throughout the city.

In the month of June alone there were 15 indecent acts reported, including eight of men seen masturbating in public, Const. Josh Fraser of the Guelph Police said.

There were three public masturbation reports in the space of less than a week, including one of a man on a bicycle, and police believed they were not the same person.

Herb Markle Park, Conroy Crescent, Norm Jary Park, Delhi Street, the Speed River Trail and just south of Downtown Guelph all had incidents reported. Ages of the alleged masturbators ranged from late teens to early 50s.

There were two arrests made in late July and one in August and the reports subsided following those arrests and as the weather got colder.
