A truck driver was charged earlier this week for driving through the closed intersection of Victoria Road and Elizabeth Street.

Guelph Police report a patrol car was flagged down by a worker on Thursday advising that a transport truck had just driven through the closed intersection causing damage in the construction area. Police located the truck and driver, and a traffic stop was conducted.

The male driver was charged with careless driving and fail to remain under the Highway Traffic Act.
