Wyndham Street North to close for two days to accommodate filming

Wyndham Street North will be closed for two days the first week of May for the filming of a new television show.

Bedford Productions of Toronto will be filming scenes for a new fiction series called “Mr. Chocolates.” It is a series about two friends as they travel across the American Midwest.

The production company did not reveal any of the actors in the show.

The street will be closed between Douglas and Woolwich Street, with parking restrictions starting April 30. Several transit routes will also be rerouted.

Pedestrians will be allowed full access to businesses in the filming area except when the cameras are rolling.

Filming will take place from Monday, May 2 from 7 a.m. until Wednesday, May 4 at 6 a.m. at 138 Wyndham St. N (Wellington County Housing Services), 115 Wyndham St. N. (The Flour Barrel) and on Wyndham Street North between Woolwich Avenue and Douglas Street.

Wellington County Housing Services’ schedule and services will not be affected.

Guelph Police Services will supervise the of Wyndham North from 7 a.m. May 2 until 6 a.m. May 4.

During the road closure the following transit lines will be rerouted by Guelph Transit Services

  • 2A, 2B, 13, 12 3A, 3B, and 11

The Neeve Street parking lot, the Wyndham Street lot and some parking spaces on Wyndham, Cardigan and Woolwich will also be out of commission for the shoot.

The filming will include the use of biodegradable snow.
