Two days worth of weather (20 photos)

What a difference a day makes

What a difference a day makes.

The temperature in Guelph shifted by 20 degrees over a roughly 24-hour period between Wednesday and Thursday. It rose to a balmy and spring-like 12C on Wednesday, and tanked to -8C by Thursday morning.

A windbreaker or less was all you needed for photographic explorations on Wednesday, but the winter parka, toque and mitts were back out by Thursday.

Moods appeared to change dramatically with the temperature. A general buoyancy one day turned to pervasive grimness the next.

On the University of Guelph campus on Wednesday, students were walking around and sitting around in short sleeves, studying outside, and walking hand-in-hand as though energized by spring fever.

Wednesday night saw a fierce, biting wind roll into the region. With it came startling cold that persisted into Thursday. It will stick around for a couple more days, inching back to spring-like weather by Monday.
