On January 29, 2016 at approximately 9:01 a.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Concession 4 in the City of Guelph. 

The officer observed a male driving a 2006 Mazda at a speed well above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

22-year-old Adam MACDONALD of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 2, 2016 to answer to the charge.

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

19-year-old Clara CHAN of Scarborough has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 2, 2016 to answer to the charge.
