Two injured in collision

On May 4, 2016 at 2:52 p.m. the Guelph Police went to a collision on Woodlawn Road West.

It is alleged that a silver four door Acura travelling west on Woodlawn struck a black Mercedes that was stopped in a line of traffic at a red light on Woodlawn.

The driver and passenger in the Mercedes were injured in the collision.

The passenger was transported to Guelph General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Damage to the two vehicles is estimated at $3,000.

The driver of the Acura, a 21-year-old Linwood male, was subsequently charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
