The University of Guelph held a birthday party Sunday, with hundreds coming out for SummerFest, a party on Johnston Green celebrating Canada's 150th birthday and the U of G's contributions to it.
The free community event had a few showers early on, but the skies cleared and the music, food, educational and interactive booths were all packed as families enjoyed the five-hour event.
