Guelph Police are investigating after vandals defaced the front of a Guelph church on the weekend.

The incident happened overnight Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 190 Marksam Road.

Police said the church was the target of vandals. The front of the church was defaced with offensive anti-religious words spray-painted in red.

At this time it does not appear that this specific religious denomination was targeted for any other reason than it was a church.
