Guelph's second Walmart location is hiring.
Construction and renovations on the new Stone Road store has intensified recently and Walmart has set up a hiring centre in the parking lot. Jobs are also posted on the company web site.
Jobs range from department managers to cashiers and overnight stock clerks.
The store is expected to open this summer, said Felicia Feher, Walmart manager, marketing, public relations and social media.
She said the store will employ approximately 160 people.
"We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions for every area of the store," Feher said.
Walmart purchased the Stone Road building from Target in September 2015 after the U.S. retailer shut down operations of its Canadian locations the previous April.
Target operated at that location for a little over two years.
Walmart purchased 13 Target Canada locations when they closed.
