Was a youth forced into a blue Sunfire last night?

On May 17, 2016 the Guelph Police received a call about a youth being forced into a vehicle. It is alleged that at 4 p.m. a male was seen grabbing a male youth in a head lock and taking him back to his vehicle parked in the Lourdes parking lot.

The incident was witnessed by several onlookers however no plate was obtained. Video captured at Lourdes was inconclusive but the vehicle appears to be a bright blue Sunfire, older model.

The male made no effort to hide his activity and witness accounts differ between the boy being pushed into the rear of the vehicle him just getting in on his own. Police have not received any reports of a missing boy.

The male is described as being 30-40 years, 5’5”-6’ tall, heavy build with blonde buzz cut hair. He was a wearing either a yellow shirt or a baseball shirt with grey in centre/chest with yellow three-quarter length sleeves and black shorts.

The youth is described as 12-13 years, approximately 5’8” and wearing a black and white hoody and jeans.
