A water main break occurred at the Dawson Road and Willow Road intersection at around noon today. There are no health risks as a result of the break.
Crews have begun repair work already and expect to be done later this evening (around midnight).
The City has notified local businesses and residential properties along Dawson Road from Willow Road to Shelldale Crescent that have had their water service interrupted during the repair work.
Some noise and light due to construction may be experienced by those living or working in the area where the break has occurred.
Traffic and transit impacts
Dawson Road is closed at Willow Road to north and southbound traffic.
The #11 Route outbound will now be continuing on Edinburgh Road and turning left on Speedvale Avenue and back onto regular route.
Delays should be expected and drivers and riders are reminded to plan extra time for travel.
The City will provide updates on Facebook and Twitter should anything change, or once repairs are complete.
